Well, it's official

I am now being paid by the State of Texas to corrupt the supple young minds of youth professionally rather than simply doing it for fun. In other words, I am an English teacher. Fear for the future of the nation, and indeed, the world.

  1. Again, that's awesome!!
I'm just glad I don't have any children in high school. Or any at all for that matter. ;-)

  2. Congratulations! I know so many people going into education lately - and it's practically volunteer work given the poor pay and benefits. Those of us who understand the importance of what you do appreciate it greatly!!!

  3. Cool, Ryan, congrats on the job. I haven't been here in a while.

I see that in an earlier post you mentioned feminism and those who oppose it. The men I know who are rabidly anti-feminist believe that part of that vast left-wing godless conspiracy is that female teachers (the majority) indoctrinate boys into their "femi-nazi" views, thus creating boys and men ashamed of their own innate male qualities (i.e., "Men are aggressive bullies, so I will never be aggressive to anyone..."). They really talk about this as if it were some organized plot.

According to them, you're a part of the solution (more male teachers).
